Upper Rogue Community Center receives $7,500 Grant from Cow Creek Umpqua Indian Foundation

Shady Cove, OR — The Upper Rogue Community Center (URCC) is pleased to announce it has received a $7,500 grant from the Cow Creek Umpqua Indian Foundation to support funding for its Executive Director position. This investment will strengthen organizational leadership and help ensure the long-term sustainability of essential services serving the Upper Rogue region.

This grant is an important investment in the future of the Upper Rogue Community Center. Having a paid Executive Director allows us to strengthen partnerships, ensure compliance, and maintain reliable services for the people who depend on us. We are grateful to the Cow Creek Umpqua Indian Foundation for its continued support of rural communities.

Founded in 1981, the Upper Rogue Community Center serves residents of Shady Cove, Trail, Prospect, Butte Falls, and parts of Eagle Point, where access to services is limited. URCC provides emergency assistance for rent, utilities, food, and clothing; operates a weekly food pantry in partnership with ACCESS; offers wellness and enrichment programs; runs a community thrift store; and serves as a designated Red Cross emergency and disaster shelter.

The Cow Creek Umpqua Indian Foundation has a long history of supporting nonprofit  organizations across southwest Oregon. URCC is honored to once again receive support from the Foundation and extends sincere appreciation for its commitment to strengthening rural communities.
